Magdy Saeb, Prof.

​

Magdy Saeb received the BSEE, School of Engineering, Cairo University, in 1974, the MSEE, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical & Computer Engineering, University of California, Irvine, in 1981 and 1985, respectively. He was with Kaiser Aerospace and Electronics, Irvine California, and The Atomic Energy Establishment, Anshas, Egypt. He is a professor emeritus and a former head of the Department of Computer Engineering, Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport, Alexandria, Egypt; He was on-leave working as a principal researcher in the Malaysian Institute of Microelectronic Systems (MIMOS). While in MIMOS, he obtained five US/International Patents in Cryptography. He is the CTO, Great Wall Information Security.

He taught, at the University level, in the United States, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and The Emirates. He has published more than 75 peer-reviewed papers in the area of information security. His current research interests include Cryptography, FPGA Implementations of Cryptography and Steganography Data Security Techniques, Encryption Processors, Mobile Agent Security.

Ahmed Ayoub, Asst. Prof.

 

Ahmed Ayoub (IEEE M’04) was born in Egypt, 1972. He got his PhD in optical computing from faculty of electrical engineering and informatics, Budapest University of technology and economics, Hungary, 2005. His MSc in biophysics engineering is from faculty of engineering, Cairo University, Egypt, 2000. His BSc in computer engineering from Banha high institute of technology, Egypt, 1994.

He has 25 publications in optical wave computing and 3 patents in optical information security. He joined the analogic and neural systems laboratory, computer and automation research institute (SZTAKI) in Budapest. His recent research interests are optical information security and optical wave computers.

Rania Kadry, Asst. Prof.

Rania Kadry, was graduated from Sacred Heart Girls’ Franciscan Sisters high School, Alexandria, Egypt, 1992. Had Sequential Courses in Business Adminstration, American University in Cairo, 1996.

Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering. Grade: “Excellent with Honour”. Department of Electronics and Computer, College of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritine Transport (An Arab League organization), Alexandria, Egypt, 1997. Graduation project was in Biomedical Engineering “Analysis of ECG using pattern recognition”.                    

Master degree in Computer Engineering, Grade: “Excellent”. Department of Computer Engineering, College of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritine Transport, 2005, It’s topic  “VLSI Implemenation of Simple Graphics Co-processor”.                                                    

PhD, was received in Computer Science, The University of Salford, Manchester,     UK, 2013. “Automated Classification in Digital Images of Osteogenic Differentiated Stem Cells”

Positions respectively: GTA, Lecturer assistant, and currently Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering Department, College of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritine Transport.

Her field of interest include: Bioimedical engineering, Intelligent Systems, Signal and Image Processing ,Pattern Recognition, Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms,  Information Extraction, Computer Architecture and hardware implementation using FPGAs. In addition to teaching and supervising graduation projects and Master degree thesis for undergraduate and post graduate students.
